Overview
Metafields Ultimate helps merchants manage product metafields. This policy describes what data the app processes and stores on behalf of merchants.
Billing
Paid subscriptions are processed by Shopify Billing. We do not store payment card details. Subscription status is checked through Shopify's Billing API.
Data we access
- Product and file data — read and update product metafields, variants, and files in Shopify Files when you use the bulk editor, CSV import/export, scheduled updates, or media uploads.
- Shop and staff session data — OAuth session tokens and basic staff profile fields provided by Shopify during installation (name, email) to operate the embedded app.
- Feedback you submit — optional bug reports and feature requests, including the contact email you provide.
- Scheduled campaign configuration — campaign names, product IDs, price rules, and metafield change rules you configure in the app.
Data we do not store
The app does not request access to customer, order, or checkout data. Product metafield values remain in your Shopify store. We do not sell merchant or customer data.
Data retention and deletion
- When you uninstall the app, OAuth sessions and app-specific records (feedback and scheduled campaigns) are deleted.
- Shopify may send a
shop/redactwebhook 48 hours after uninstall to confirm shop data removal from our systems. - If you submit feedback with a contact email that matches a customer redaction request, that feedback row is deleted when Shopify sends a
customers/redactwebhook.
